Call for Participants
2026 CHAPEL HILL-CARRBORO COMMUNITY HOLIDAY PARADE
Walk, dance, bike, and scoot your way through the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Community Holiday Parade on Saturday, December 5, 2026 from 10am-11:30am! This year’s parade will start at the 140 West Franklin Plaza in Chapel Hill and end at Carrboro Town Commons.
We’re looking for local organizations and businesses to participate. The vast majority of applications are accepted. The more festive, the better!
Things to know:
- Be a spectacle: Decorate your parade unit and add entertainment value.
- Get creative: Describe how your unit will entertain/engage spectators.
- Get ready: This year’s parade will be non-vehicular. Stay on foot, bike, or scooter.
- Businesses: There is a $50 fee for participating businesses.
- Nonprofits: No fees for nonprofit organizations, municipal entities, or schools.
- Please, no ads. No entries for strictly advertising, fundraising, or recruitment activities. No political campaigning or electioneering.
