Due to heavy rain in the forecast for this evening (Friday, Dec. 13), the Santa Rooftop Rescue will be rescheduled for the following Friday, Dec. 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The community is invited to still gather downtown for the 2nd Friday Artwalk tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. The scheduled holiday lights along Franklin Street will not be illuminated due to weather. The pop-up gallery, Altered Chapel Hill, will host an Artist Reception at 109 E. Franklin Street coinciding with the ArtWalk.
The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Holiday Parade on Sat. Dec. 14 beginning at 10 a.m. will go on as planned. This event is rain or shine. Spectators are welcomed and encouraged to arrive early to cheer on more than 50 participating businesses, Town organizations, dance troupes, and non-profits.
