Franklin Street was filled with color and celebration of LGBTQ+ visibility on Saturday afternoon, as the Town of Chapel Hill held its annual Pride Promenade.

Community members and allies paraded down the central road from the Peace & Justice Plaza to the 140 West Franklin Plaza after hearing remarks from local government leaders to kick off the event. Once participants reached the end, more than two dozen vendors, nonprofits and crafting booths were set up alongside live music and drag performances to continue the party.
