Carrboro-Chapel Hill Community Holiday Parade

The parade begins at 10am at 501 West Weaver St. in Carrboro, travels along Main St., continues onto Franklin St., and ends at 140 West Franklin St. in Chapel Hill.

There are 4 performance zones where groups will stop briefly for musical numbers, dancing, and more (see stars in map below).

Parking

Town-owned lots and decks will be free every weekend in December! There are plenty of public parking lots in downtown Chapel Hill and Carrboro.

Parking along Rosemary St. or outside of designated spaces is not permitted. There is no event parking at Carr Mill Mall.

Bus Routes

All of Chapel Hill Transit’s weekend routes will take folks downtown, but the CW and J routes will detour between 8am and 12:30pm. Check the routes here or use the Transit app to plan a car-free ride to the parade.

Traffic Alerts

Starting at 9:30 a.m.: West Main St. near CommunityWorx Thrift Shop and East Main St. closed for parade start.

Carrboro Farmers’ Market: Access and exit market via Jones Ferry Road from NC-54 Bypass.

10 a.m. – End of Parade: West Franklin St. and Church St. (between Rosemary St. and Franklin St.) closed as parade moves through.
