Calling all Triangle Area Artists

We’re looking for a Triangle-based artist or artist teams to paint colorful art on bike racks at Town of Chapel Hill parks, housing communities, and facilities. Selected artists will paint sets of bike racks in fun, eye-catching designs that relate to the location setting. 

STIPEND: Between $1,150 and $2,300 (depending on number of racks) to develop a design with stakeholder input and paint the bike racks.

ELIGIBILITY: Artists and artist teams must reside within a 40 mile radius of Chapel Hill and submit application materials following the specifications listed below.

DEADLINE: 5 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022.

The Town of Chapel Hill reserves the right to refuse any or all submissions or works, to refuse any finalist, and to waive informalities in procedures should it be determined that submissions or works are not adequate, or for any other reason prior to a written arrangement being reached.
