Calling Triangle Area Artists

We’re looking for a Triangle-based artist or artist team to design and paint a mural on an outdoor basketball court in Umstead Park in Chapel Hill. We want a design that is fun, eye-catching, and that speaks to the energy of the sport and the park surroundings.

The mural will be painted on a newly resurfaced court that’s about 350 square feet. We want to make sure the mural maintains good quality for many years, so a particular type of paint and application process is required. You’ll need to apply the paint using squeegees and edging tape. You can choose three to five colors from color palette below for the mural.

A palette of color squares including dark greens, blues, purple, and red.

STIPEND: $5,000
