Request for Proposals

Calling all Triangle Area Creatives!

We’re looking for interactive art to be a part of Chapel Hill Public Library’s Star Party on Friday, April 24.  Art can feature performance, video-projection, sculpture, or another creative experience. The project will take place outdoors on the Library grounds (specific location TBD). A $500 honorarium will be awarded to the selected artist(s).

The Star Party aims to address the theme of “Myths and Magic of the Universe” and will be interactive, use light or illumination, and will appeal to children and adults of all ages.

Our mission is to inspire creativity and celebrate community for a better Chapel Hill. We value inclusion, experience, and understanding and we encourage submissions to reflect these values.

ELIGIBILITY: Artists and performers must reside in North Carolina’s Triangle region and submit application materials following the specifications listed below.

The Town of Chapel Hill reserves the right to refuse any or all submissions or works, to refuse any finalist, and to waive informalities in procedures should it be determined that submissions or works are not adequate, or for any other reason prior to a written arrangement being reached.
