Community Art Project

OVERVIEW

The theme for the Chapel Hill Public Arts Commission’s 2008 Community Art Project was ELEMENTS.  During its fifth successful year, this community-wide exhibition was on view in public places throughout Chapel Hill and Carrboro in April and May of 2008.  The Arts Commission invited everyone who lives, works, or plays in Chapel Hill and Carrboro to create and exhibit an artwork based on the theme ELEMENTS.  All interpretations of the theme "Elements" were displayed at nine venues across Chapel Hill and Carrboro.

In March a kick-off event was held at Chapel Hill Community Center park where the community built a temporary Labyrinth with environmental artist Bryant Holsenbeck!  Click here to view a slide show.

If you'd like to electronically receive Elements-related information and more please join our mailing list.
